A Spoon full of vintage and a village full of art: events this weekend
Pittenweem Arts Festival, 28 July – 5 August
Pittenweem Arts Festival, celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, hosts established invited artists, newcomers and resident artists who exhibit in homes, studios, galleries and public spaces throughout the East Neuk village. As well as exhibitions, there are workshops, performances, talks and children’s events, all related to the arts. This year’s invited artists include John Byrne (above), David Mackie Cook, Jake Harvey and the Association of Danish Printmaking Artists.
Frequently shown in paintings itself, Pittenweem has around thirty resident artists with many more based in the string of fishing villages along the Fife coast.
