The National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh, recently refurbished and still free, has a very loyal following of locals, many of whom have fond memories of visiting the Museum since they were children. The response to RBS Late Nights at the Museum is even more enthusiastic. On these special opening nights you can wander around  the exhibitions, listen and dance to bands and DJs, make and wear a mask, visit the beer lab, sample the ‘silent disco’, eat at the brasserie.

Late Nights are returning after the summer with the first event on Friday 19 October. Behind the Masque is hosted by BBC Presenter Vic Galloway and features Miaoux Miaoux, aka Julian Corrie, who will be showcasing tracks from his outstanding ‘Light of the North’ LP on Chemikal Underground Records. The Silk Cut DJs will be opening the show with their mangled take on house and experimental, electronic sounds.

Tickets are sold out for Friday 19 October but the NMS video below might make you want to try and get tickets for the next Late Night. Dates will published be on the NMS site.
