Rosyth hosts Scotland’s third Real Junk Food Project

A team of volunteers in Rosyth is hosting Scotland’s third – after Edinburgh and Glasgow – Real Junk Food Project feeding bellies not bins. The project, founded by social entrepreneur Adam Smith, is a global, organic network of cafés that rescue food destined for landfill and turn it into meals served on a ‘pay as you feel’ basis. Dunfermline’s Pecha Kucha is back, and it’s in a brand new venue, the award-winning Dunfermline Carnegie Library and Galleries. When Coal was King: free history expo at Kingsgate Dunfermline

Opening today 17 May is When Coal Was King, a series of events in and around the Kingsgate Shopping Centre Dunfermline highlighting the importance mining played in the history of the town and the surrounding areas. There will be exhibitions, storytelling, children’s activities and one of artist Alan Grieve’s famous interactive colouring-in walls. The event is free and runs until 21 May. The Flying Scotsman is back

Once again the Flying Scotsman will be crossing the Forth Rail Bridge on Sunday 14 May. Thanks to the Forth Bridge Hub for the following details.
