Once again the Flying Scotsman will be crossing the Forth Rail Bridge on Sunday 14 May. Thanks to the Forth Bridge Hub for the following details. From media coverage it is believed that the Flying Scotsman will travel from Edinburgh to Fife, crossing the bridge early afternoon and will then make her way along the coast towards Kirkcaldy, before turning back inland, via Dunfermline.

The train will then head back over the Forth Bridge and arrive in Edinburgh at around 14:00.

In the evening, Flying Scotsman will depart from Edinburgh Waverley at around 17:00 and will once more head out across the Forth Bridge, but this time will take passengers on the re-opened route around what is known as the Forth Circle, through Alloa and Stirling, arriving back in the capital at around 21:30. If you’re planning on going to see her, it would be worth keep an eye on the media for exact times.
