A major feature of the castle had once been a magnificent Orangery. In the 1960s this had been truncated by having its roof removed and replaced by a much lower

Beautiful wooden tables and chopping boards made in Fife

Love the clever combination of these rough hewn, beautiful pieces of wood on top of spindly, retro legs – a look which manages to be rustic and urban at the same time.  The tables were made by Ian Davidson and his partner Jen Marshall for their small craft business, Country Collective, which they launched in their workshop near Oakley in Fife, late spring 2017.  The timber live edge designs also

Beautiful vintage ‘DIY’ Scottish wedding

If you are a guest at wedding you might not expect to serve the food. At this Scottish wedding, the bride and groom, Kate and Paul Symington, from Dollar were asked to nominate a guest from each table to serve their fellow diners. The White House, Isle of Coll

Not a white pillar in sight at this White House.  The drama in this building is seen in the dramatic cleft gable wall, which WT Architecture cleverly kept when they restored the ruins on the Isle of Coll in the Hebrides.
