New Campbells bake school in Crieff

With seven generations of baking heritage to draw on Campbells in Crieff is starting a bake school. Established in 1830, Campbells is one of Scotland’s oldest bakeries. headed up by seventh generation award winning baker Iain Campbell and his wife Ailsa, a graphic designer. Get your dancing shoes on – the Shiski Disco is coming to Wellwood.

The original Shiski Disco was held on the Isle of Arran in the community centre in Shiskine. A minibus would travel round the island and pick folks up and take them to the dancing. Dunfermline artist Alan Grieve referred to the disco in his Inchfuckery Island project, recently showcased at a popular exhibtion at Summerhall, and is now doing it for real. Star of Angel’s Share, Charles Maclean hosts whisky tasting, Dunfermline

Charles Maclean, the whisky expert cast in Ken Loach’s movie Angel’s Share, is hosting a whisky tasting in Dunfermline.
