This Fife wedding was styled by Dunfermline artist, Claire Christie for the McGregor family from Cupar. Relatives of the couple hosted the wedding on their private working farm outside Auchtermuchty with 3 barns providing the venue for the reception, the bar and the service. Their brief to Claire was for a traditional Scottish country barn wedding using items found on the farm and making interesting props with the salvaged materials – everything was recycled.

Claire said: ‘Over a 3 month period, and with the help of the brides parents and cousins,  a truly family affair, this unique wedding setting was created and aptly dressed with wild flowers picked from the hedgerows from the surrounding countryside. It was a really magical event and was so much fun to do, I got out of my studio, worked outside on a weekly basis which I loved, and most importantly, had the free reign to do what I liked. I used to design props and sets for theatre and it was just another set really.’
