On a clear sunny day, the terrace at Craig Millar’s restaurant, 16 West End, St Monans, Fife feels like it’s overlooking the Mediterranean rather than the Firth of Forth. The short brasserie menu had three fish choices, including fish pie, haddock and chips or cod on a saffron and gnocchi broth and the two meat options included slow cooked ox cheek, all of which around were around the £15 mark, with the rib-eye steak costing £24. Make sure you phone ahead though, like many places in the East Neuk, opening times out of season are variable.  Tel: 01333 730 327Tomato_Focacia_16_West_End_St_Monans St_Monans_Harbour_on_avocadosweet.com Main_meals_by_Craig_Millar_St_Monans Inside_Craig_Millar_St_Monans Craig_Millar_view_out_to_sea Craig_Millar_view_of_red_roofs Craig_Millar_Thistles
