Shieldbank Coffee Shop is a small country coffee shop one mile outside the picturesque village of Saline within the grounds of Shieldbank Riding and Vaulting Club. They specialise in home-made soups, home baking, various light lunches, coffee and locally blended teas.
In the warmer weather the terrace is open. You can watch the riders in the riding school being put through their paces or admire the view of the Ochil Hills while listening to the birdsong.  The cafe is dog friendly and caters for gluten free, dairy intolerant and vegan diets.

Shieldbank Riding and Vaulting Club

The riding school opening hours are Wednesday – Sunday 10am until 6pm

Shieldbank Club introduces people to ponies/horses and riding, as well as helping people of all ages and stages to improve their riding and vaulting skills. There is a pool of horses and ponies ranging from 12 hh to 18.2 hh all of whom have the most incredible characters.
Apart from weekly riding lessons,  ‘Pony Days’  are offered in the Spring and Summer holidays, where young people spend the day learning to ride and look after their favourite ponies.
On Saturday afternoons there is teaching in equestrian vaulting on Freckles, our current vaulting horse. Shieldbank vaulters train in our new arena with its sand and fibre surface, perfect for soft landings! This is a sport for young people from age 5 years upwards.
The club welcomes visitors to come and have a peak at the horses/ponies in their stables (maybe combining it with a visit to the Coffee Shop).
For more information about riding or vaulting, please call Marianne on 01383 852874.
